Wakamatsu High School exchange

By Zoe Priest ForsythMonday November 11, 2013

When students from our Wakamatsu sister school came to visit it was very interesting to hear about their lives in Japan. I enjoyed the experience as I’m going to travel there next year and volunteer to help families still affected by the tsunami. Unfortunately the students only had a short time with us but we enjoyed the experience together.

During the day they joined in some of our classes and at the end we had a final farewell party. We played games, exchanged presents and learned about what it’s like to live and go to school in Japan. It was interesting to learn about the differences between our schools. For example they have a range of clubs to choose from like archery, kendo and lots of others.
They enjoyed climbing on our rock climbing wall with Ms Graham. It’s great to have this relationship with Wakamatsu and I hope it will continue for a long time.
