International student outdoor experience - Camp Waihola

By Akari Okawa (Japan)Monday November 18, 2013

My first camp with the international students was fun.

When we arrived at Waihola, Charlotte joined our group and we gave her all our extra food. Charlotte was the resident pig at the camp at Waihola where we had our first overnight stay.  It was fun to spend time with my Japanese friends and make new friends with Ina and Clara and the other Charlotte from Germany.

The first day we went to a park where there was a confidence course.  We also learned how to shoot arrows at a target and the second day we played paint ball. On the last day we did traditional Japanese hand games together which we taught everyone.  It was fun.
