Toroa House Report

By Jeremy Shanks and Tayla HohaiaMonday November 18, 2013

After nine months of love and inclusiveness here at Logan Park, the students of Toroa have been left with a sense of enlightenment and inspiration by their supreme leaders Jeremy and Tayla.

First on the mighty Toroa's schedule this year was the old Athletics Day. With the battle of the unpredictable Dunedin weather, Toroa fought hard to regain some dignity which was lost in previous years. With overpowering seas of green which startled the other Houses, it was no doubt that Toroa was a force to be reckoned with! Unfortunately, after an awfully vigorous and hearty start to the day, the lack of numbers meant that Toroa unrealistically fell into last place. However, this did not deter us from our goal to be the most enthusiastic and deafening House. This House spirit was strongly recognised throughout the rest of the year with a large majority of the Toroa House turning out to root for troops during the Inter-House rowing competition. And don’t forget those delicious sausages on House Day or those overly excited dance instructors of jump jam; boy have we had some good times.
