Tautuku Camp in the snow!

By Sophie Hilton-ManningMonday November 18, 2013

At year 10 camp our class happened to go to Tautuku in one of the very few times it snows! I found myself wearing ALL my clothes I had brought and still being freezing, but that just made it all the more fun.

I found the campout exciting, even when I put my 2-minute noodles into my milo. We did some great things like abseiling, the obstacle course, kayaking and other wonderful things.

The camp we were staying in was really nice and had a big fire. I can honestly say there is no point in putting wet clothes in the ‘drying room’.

The food was great, especially the famous hot chocolate primo. I think the mud walk was my favourite, despite the fact there was no hot water left when we returned, so it was cold showers for us girls!

It was in general just a really great experience and I hope others enjoy it as well.
