This summer we (Peter, Charlie and Jasmine) were lucky enough to attend the 2013 Rotary National Science and Technology Forum. This was two weeks of science and Awesome!
We stayed at O’Rorke Hall in Auckland with 159 other like-minded students moving into Year 13. From this hall of residence we travelled to seminars and lectures on a wide range of science and technology areas, such as: Biomedical Engineering, Astronomy, Psychology, Physics and Bio Fuel. There was also a lot of time for recreational activities such as volleyball, choir and exploring Auckland. We all feel that this was the best experience of our lives and we would encourage anyone who is interested in science to work towards attending this Forum. For any current Year 12 students, we definitely encourage you to apply for the 2014 Forum.
Lots of love,
From your Academic Prefects,
Peter Barnett, Charlie Ruffman and Jasmine Seifert-Simpson
