Logan Park/Taieri Combined Girls Rugby

By Duncan TrickeyMonday June 30, 2014

Logan Park have 10 girls currently playing rugby in a combined side with Taieri.

The girls are still learning the game but under the tutelage of Tip Winiata they have steered themselves to two wins and will be in the 3rd-4th play off in the final week of term.

All the girls have been fantastic and the Taieri girls have bonded well with our girls. It was great to see them beating Queens in a tight match and from a Logan Park perspective three tries for Rythm Moana, two for Aglima Poki-Poki,  two for Jazzy Bowen and a first ever try for Ngapera Andrews just highlighted how much the Logan Park girls have brought to this team.

Term 3 sees the start of the Wednesday evening Girls Sevens Competition. We look forward to our girls performing well in this competition as we build up to the Taieri Condor Sevens Competition.
